The 1921 Georgia Bulldogs football team represented the Georgia Bulldogs of the University of Georgia during the 1921 college football season. The Bulldogs had an 7–2–1 record, and were also co-champion of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association: co-champions Centre, Georgia Tech, and Vanderbilt were also undefeated. Vanderbilt tied Georgia with an onside kick in their game for the conference title.〔 〕 The Bulldogs' only two losses came against two of the football powerhouses of the day, Eastern schools Harvard and Dartmouth. This was the team's second season under the guidance of head coach Herman Stegeman. The victory against Furman on October 8, 1921 was the 100th victory in the history of the Georgia Bulldogs football program. Georgia was known for its line during this era, the greatest in the South,〔Fred Russell and Maxwell Edward Benson. ''Fifty Years of Vanderbilt Football''. "1921-Wallace Wade Hired As Assistant". Nashville, TN, 1938, p. 39〕 which featured four All-Southerns in end and captain Owen Reynolds, tackles Artie Pew and Joe Bennett, guard and captain-elect Hugh Whelchel and center Bum Day. Whelchel was selected a third-team All-American by Walter Camp. A young Jim Taylor was also on the team. Not a single team this season scored through its line.〔Camp, Walter, ed.
